"No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms".

Those in poverty, out of desperation and lack of knowledge due to minimal education may be sold or end up in violent jobs with no means of escape. In return for food or shelter a woman may turn to prostitution. In order to keep other family members alive, some people may be sold by their family. The person may end up in a situation where recieve no pay, no education, no adequate food, and no healthcare. Those in poverty are harmed, physically and emotionally by the cycle that is so hard to escape, and they rarely have anything to show for it; they are left scarred and empty handed.
